85 F150
I have a 85 F150 which I plan to lower. I have a 302/AOD trans and a 8 inch rear with 3.55 gears. Now I want to make it handle better. Has anyone here done this?

Twin I beam? Sticking with that front suspension?
If you lower more than a little bit, you need to bend the I beams to keep camber close. There are adjusters thay will give you some camber control, but I think you need to start planning on having a frame shop re-camber the I-beams
Other problem with this is the hanging Ysteering linkage. It's tough having bump steer tuned out of it. I'm not even sure it's possible.
Once you get it down, do the regular stuff- good rubber, springs and sway bars, shocks

Yes it's teim I beam but right now I am reading about putting a 06 Crown Victoria P7 (police} suspension on my truck which will be cheaper and just as easy to do. I hope.

On the 95 I used to have (which is very similar to the 85), changing shocks made a world of difference. The 93-95 F-150 Lightning OEM shocks were Monroe Formula GPs, the valving seemed to be very good on those shocks for the particular application.
I've seen a few guys on the H.A.M.B. talking about the 03-up Crown Vic suspension swapping in to an F-Series. It's possible to do, the wheel offset may be the only real issue. Those cars use very high positive offset wheels, and I'm not sure how the track width from hub face to hub face would compare to the F-150.

This is getting better as I go along. I just clicked on a link in the same thread for a IFS rear too. Sounds like a pro touring truck is going to be possible. Now I have to buy another DD.
