      project 67.5 corvette

      Hey all,
You have some amazing cars on this forum. I've enjoyed looking over all of the works of art in progress and thought I would share my project. It started about a year ago with a concept.

A few parts here and there, a little time, some fabrication, and a big mess later it is starting to look like a car.

It is a 77' corvette with c2 front and rear panels and some custom fiberglass in between. This isn't a high budget build but more of a hobby to keep me out of trouble around the house. I look forward to getting a lot of ideas and inspirations from everybodies work.

      Thanks,
      Scott

That is the best looking Corvette I've seen in a long time. I couldn't figure out that roof top at first.
      I love it.
      Great job.

Any pics of the hood? What plans you have for that? A little hard to tell from the concept picture, but I can really imagine a '67 427 scoop, or an L88 scoop on there

I don't have any good pics of the hood. Here is an old picture where you can kind of make it out. It is c3 l88 style.

I like those L88 scoops. A guy I went to highschool with put one on his later 3rd gen Camaro RS, it looks really nice on there too

I'm torn, I wanna hate it because I'm kind of a purist, but I don't! I actually looks good. What kinda wheels are those?

I thought I'd do a little photo shop. I made the side vents bigger, longer and more centered.

      Hehe,
Thank goodness it wasn't a chrome bumper car, huh! They are actually bmw wheels. May eventually change them but they work for now. Just need to get this thing on the road before the baby comes which probably won't happen.

bingham, nice job on the chop, and I like the vent that way, probably too far into the build for that now though.

67.5vette - even after saying that, I must say I still love the project. I've been building a 1:25 '72?(?) Corvette for years now, that I put the waterfall from a '53, and the rear bumper from a '96 on. I've been pushing the idea of a '97 front end, but now I'm thinking the front end from a C2 and using the '97's running gear instead. Thank you for posting this thread, maybe I'll be able to get a couple pics of my project for you up here too. Maybe we can feed off each other
