      pro-touring bug

haha = i know what you are thinking but check it out- this one been on the back burner for a while and im finally getting back on it- Its been about 4 years in the works- Alot of one off custom parts- Kinda cool that the trend has swung this way- they call it euro-look in the vw scene

had aerospace make these- first for a vw - porsche pattern

this is a berg 5 speed transaxle- very rare for vw

      17x 7 up front- 18x 10 in the rear

polished aluminum block- begging of a 2.5 liter fed by 48IDA webers

      All thats left is everything

I _love_ the idea of a convertible bug.
Looks like a lot of fun.

Gotta leave the front fenders off to give it that open wheel roadster look.

I wish people would quit posting bug pics. Thats all I messed with 15 years ago. I found myself pricing them on craigslist the other day

Im sure you've heard of it, but I'll post it for those that have not. If this kinda thing floats your boat, head over to www.germanlook.com and check these cars out. It's flat amazing what these cars can do, and it's every bit as pro-touring as what we're into. I welcome them.

64's are VERY hard to find -- thank Disney and all the Herbie Movies ... 64's got smashed and crushed by the hundreds. I think the Lindsay Lohan flick is responsible for 50 deaths alone.

Incidentally -- what are the hoses and fittings on your tranny?
