Track locator

I am in the process of rebuilding a 65 Nova. I am looking for a way to eliminate my track locator, and keep the rear end low and centered. I have a Dana 60 so I cannot weld to the pumpkin. Also, I just finished up installing an air ride 4-bar system . I would like some input on a different way to do this.

You must run something to laterally locate your rearend. Otherwise, it will move side-to-side relative to the chassis.

A panhard bar is a good choice. Attach it to the rearend (behind it) on the passenger side and to the chassis on the driver's side. Make it as long as possible, level with the rearend. Have a couple of inches of adjustment above and below the centerline of the rearend.

Watt's link is the other choice. Considerably more complicated. Each has its advantages, but I prefer the panhard bar.

Any questions on how to do this just ask. You'll have to fabricate and weld brackets to the chassis and the rearend.

Can a Watts link be bolted to my pumpkin or the axel tubes this may be an option?

you could do a frame mounted watts, at the bottom of the page they have a universal kit. and I have heard nothing but good things about the service from sc&c. and they are a board sponsor
