      quick question on rollbar install

when running a bar through the firewall to the front of the frame,do you weld the bar to the firewall or use some kind of rubber groument?

If you are not running it straight through, I beleive you should use plates, welded on each side of the FW and then weld the bars to that. The FW isn't thick enough to support the stresses it will incur and negate the purpose of the strut bars.

Just what I've picked up, but I am not a chassis builder, so I'm sure more experienced members will chime in.

If the bars are coming off your A pillar down tubes and running forward to the chassis then you just weld them to the firewall as the firewall isn't carrying the load.

yes they will connect to the A pillar tubes.i figured i would weld it to the firewall where it goes through but didn't know if that would create more noise.so i thought about cutting the hole about a 1/4" bigger than the bar,put a rubber grommet in and slide the bar through that.
