      Rear Suspension Leaf vs. Coil

I have been reading about rear suspensions on 2nd generation F-bodies. I am building an 81 trans am for drag and road racing but am selecting a rear end mainly on handling.

I was sold on a 4 link set up, but am getting mixed messages in the reading I have been doing. A lot of people seem to say that a well set up leaf spring system can be comprable to a 4 link for handling and much cheaper.

This may be a good thread to centralize this information and if there are any previous threads discussing this topic, please point me in their direction.

I am choosing between the Gen II system:

      Any recommendations on those kits?

Thank you in advance for any help,

I'm in the same boat that you're in, except it's for a '70 Camaro, still 2nd gen though. I decided on the GEN II race kit (I just haven't bought it yet). I'm going to use a bunch of their chassis components too, along with their racing front end rebuild kit. They seem to have good stuff at reasonable prices.
