      GM employee discount offer....

Alright...we all just recieved this Lotus Notes at work today. I have an oppurtunity to let one person use my GM discount until July 31st. Here's the e-mail that we got.......

      ---------------------------------------------------------

      Dear Anthony:

Starting today and through July 31, all active GM employees in the U.S. have the opportunity to provide one employee discount to anyone you know who is considering the purchase of a new vehicle. During this challenging period for people across the country, there’s no better time than to talk up our great products and give someone you know an additional incentive to buy GM.
Remember the offer ends on July 31st. So, get out there today and extend this offer to help a friend, neighbor or extended family member with their next vehicle purchase.
I’m counting on your help in giving us a strong close on our July vehicle sales.

      Thanks for your support.

      Wow!

That's a generous offer, from you and the General.
I wish it'd come around when the Camaro comes out next year!

Now that is a real discount unlike the employee pricing they advertise in commercials. Wish I was in the market for a new car right now.

Really take a look at the Vibe. A guy at work just got rid of his Jeep and and got one because it was very economical and it has more than enough room for the 3 kid family he has. After 3 months he is very glad he went went smaller and found a car with all the room he needs.

Yes..this is an ACTUAL employee discount unlike what they did a few years back where they said it was and it ended up being somewhat less. You will get an actual authorization code and when you go the dealer you will get the GMS price. It's on the sticker. Not sure percentage-wise how good of discount this is but it's absolutely the cheapest way to get a new GM vehicle. I should probably emphasize to only reply by PM if you are seriously getting a new vehicle by the 31st. I would hate to see this oppurtunity go to waste. Thanks guys. And yeah....I thought of my "peeps" first. LOL!!!

Also check out the HHR/SS and take it for a drive. I get a combined 26mpg and it easily gets 30 on the hwy. They're a great value and you might be suprised at how nice the ride is, I still love ours 16,xxx miles later.

If it is like it used to be you could get a fully optioned vehicle for about the base sticker price.

Also keep in mind that the GMS price is good with any current offers out there now. I believe Chevy has $1500 Cash Allowance going on. So that's another $1500 off the GMS price. That can get you into a HHR SS or a Cobalt SS for around $15K. And they both get over 30mpg highway. Not bad.

Wow, Tony, that is a very generous offer. You should offer to a non-GM person to convert them over.

Man you could practically steal a new vehicle! Damn, is the new ZR1 out yet?

Sorry, but the Vibe is ugly, IMO. There ain't no way to hide ugly.

The HHR SS would be a nice ride, but... 4wd is a really nice thing to have in my neck of the woods during winter. Is it too much to ask for an AWD HHR?

Plus, even with gas prices being what they are, bigger is better for me. I'm 6'6".

I'll talk to the wife tonight - I don't want to go taking such a generous offer and not use the code. That would just be a waste.
