Offical Thread, Project Midori Sour, a Famaro
Progress pics of my firebird into camaro project. Midori Sour green from Du-Pont Hot Hues will be the color of choice. Started life as a 1969 Pontiac Firebird, yes Firebird, but don't flame me. I'm going for a low key look, not outlandish, mellow, not big power, budget build. A New School, Old School look.
Statred as
This is the look I'm going for. Thanks to TonyL for the photoshop.
Process started. Quarters, mini tubs installed. Sand blasted. Rotissery. Subframe started. Rack and pinion.
Rear tires placed for fit, mock up, rear axle measurement for ordering.

Yes, after I bought the bird my desire for a camaro overwhelmed me. And the parts were more readily available.

I bought all after market stuff to do the front clip, and had the inner fenders painted and Rino lined to get a jump on assembly. You guessed it, they sent the wrong inner fenders.
Any body doing a 68-72 Chevelle in a nice green

So you took a firebird and replaced all the panels with camaro? Car looks good to me. Love that green.

The Color is Midori Sour from the Du-Pont Hot Hues collection. Really does a cool shade shift on contours in the sun light. I also am not a fan of green cars, and I think it comes out well. Originally Posted by SLAMDIMPALA

67 - 68 Dash installed. I like the looks alot better than the 69 Camaro or Firebird dash.
