I have chopped a few cars and it has always been flat galss so it wasnt a big problem. one of my friend does a lot of customs and they always get the glass cut by sand blasting it.

Here is a good site with lots of information on cutting glass.

Laminated glass can also be cut by using a scribe wheel-style glass cutter on BOTH sides of the windshield, tapping to break along the score. Then pour lighter fluid into the crack and light. That will melt the plastic in the middle allowing the cut piece to be pulled away. Whatever you do it's not easy and a little dicey. Cutoff wheels and the like produce too much localized heat stress in the glass and will almost surely crack it.
