Optispark distributers are easily damaged due to moisture which tends to collect when the car has been sitting. I had similar symptoms on my '93 after bringing it out of hibernation. Car was fun to drive, but hating trying to work on it.

Did you get the problem sorted as I have same simtoms, I'm changing the O2 sensor as i found its only the left bank.
