paypal has its goods and bads I havent had a problem with them, they due charge the reciever of money 3% so you will lose that right off the get go, paypal usually sides with the person who sent the money if there is ever a problem. but on the plus there is no doubt if they sent the money or not so you dont have to worry about the "I sent the money why havent you sent my stuff" scenereo.

Use it all the time for internet business, like any payment~ things can screw up but generally it's good. Paypal is 100% safe if it is a legitimate transaction but people still try and scam.

I think it's safe but it's their push for you to get "verified" that chaps me. Their idea is to get access to your bank account and convince you to use your bank account to make payments so they don't have to pay a percentage to your credit card company. They sell it as adding confidence to your ability as a buyer but it's a blatant move to increase their profits. Once you use Paypal beyond a certain dollar amount they will insist that you get verified or lock you out of further transactions. Then they set your bank account as your default payment method and make you go out of your way to use your credit card and give you a sales pitch about why it is better to pay with your bank account.

Bunch of weasels in my mind but they're more or less the only game in town if you want to pay quickly.

I have read stories of them making unauthorized withdrawls from verified user's bank accounts but I have no direct experience with this happening.

I have heard bad stories from others but (knock on wood) I personally have never had a problem other than they rape you. If you collect freight they still get thier cut.

Every service of company has thier "haters". Its just part of doing business. No company is perfect and if someone isnt happy, the next day its all over the internet.

I've used Paypal lots of times with no problems, so I have no complaints

I have used it with 100% success.I only buy stuff though.Alot of people complain about the fees but on small purchases its cheaper(and so much faster).I even offer to cover the 3% fee most of the time.
I just purchased some used parts for $10. $9 shipping. Guy wanted money order. The bank charges $5 for money orders. my $10 part cost me $24.42 total w/stamp(not including gas spent getting mo and mailing it).
You can get around the verified thing by getting (and subseqently cutting up into small pieces)their credit card.It will try to default you to their card when you go to make a payment.I wouldn't even think of giving them my bank account #.

I'm right there with ya brotha! I've been using PayPal with no problems, but I will NEVER EVER give them my bank information. If something goes wrong, I want my credit card company to take their ass to court, not me.

I have a seperate bank account that I use with them. I mostly use it to transfer money OUT of PayPal that I have recieved. Then I move that to my regular bank account...so there is rarely any ammount of money in the account paypal has access to. A lot of touble, yes but it makes it that much safer and its worth it ot me.

I've had no problems so far. If someone wants to pay me in PP, I bump it 3% in some (not all) cases. Shipping too.

AMX, money orders at wal mart are cheap, like $1 or something.

yes I've been using it for over 4 years or more.

One dispute and it worked in my favor because the idiot was trying to take me for a ride.
