      Left vs Right Knock Sensor

      Hello,

I am putting my car back together (LSx in a 1969 Camaro). For some reason the knock sensor wire for the driver side is now longer than the wire for the passenger side (clearly labeled). The passenger side wire will not quite reach. Can I swap the two wires? Does computer see and treat the two sides independently?

I do not want to cut any corners. If it makes a difference, I will just extend the wire. If it does not make a difference, I can see splicing into the harness.

      Thanks.

I think it will matter. I'm guessing that the computer might actually look at which cylinder is firing when the knock sensors read the knock, or something along those lines, where it needs to know what sensor is seeing the noise.
Of course, it may be as simple as swapping the two pins in the harness. I don't know if that's easier than extending the wire.
