Alright well i looks like my bro broke a rod on his 454 in his '72 Chevelle and well hes trying to put it back together but both he an i cannot think of what the piece that connects the rod to the roller is called like what holds it together. If anyone can help out it would be greatly appreciated

Hell if anyone is in the Orlando area and is bored and wants to help him let me know and i'll pm you his number.

I'm confused about the reference to "the roller".

I'm presuming by 'rod' you mean connecting rod. Am I mistaken?

it uses a piston pin at one end and the rod cap to hold it to the crank.

Did your bro' break a rod or just spin/wear out the rod bearing?

Looks like a broken rocker arm stud. Possibly a bent pushrod and you should also check the lifter.
I am not useless, I can still be used as a bad example!

I don't think the stud is broken. The out of whack rocker arm is still compressing the spring. Has this motor been running long? You might have some geometry issues, and more trashed parts than you think.
