      Carb assembly question

Sorry for the lack of a proper search, but running late as usual. I am re assembling a Carter AFB (Edlebrock style) 4brl carb that I tore completely down. I am replacing the throttle blade screws with new stainless ones from Lowes, hope that's alright, and want to know if it is advisable or necessary to apply threadlock? Secondly, is it necessary to apply lube of some kind to the throttle blade shafts on re assembly? If so what is the recommend?

I'd definitely use a threadlock on blade screws - the consequences of one falling out are bad.

Not so sure on the lube though.
