cam??
I was just given a free cam for my bbc. It is a regrind on a comp cam. duration @ .050 230-230 lift of .520-.520 with a lobe seperation of 110. he says it will sound real nice and make good power what do you guys think?

We need to know more about your combination. Cubes? Tranny? Gears? the rest of the engine...

I think its 8.5 to 9 on the compression 454 30 over turbo 400 with 4.11 gears 29" tall tire.

cam sounds small...the cam in my sb400 is 244 ~600 lift

Sure it will work, but what are you looking for? Assume stock heads?

I am looking for some thing that sounds good and health ok mean. Is still nice to drive on the street. Can spin the big tires when I want to. I probably would not see any track time
