      New guy from north Atlanta

Just wanted to introduce myself. I was talking with some other rodder guys on the plans I have for my 67 RS Convertible. Like disk brakes, seating, seatbelts and swaybars. They asked if I was going to make a a Pro-Tour? I guess I am, didn't know their was a name for what my plans are.

I am long time Jeep guy, been building, driving and working on them for the last 15 years or so. Restored some old miltary hardware spread in there too. Prior to that I had several 50s cars that I played with in the late 80s early 90s. My family has grown so I needed a proper 4 seat vehicle. Wanted a Camaro since I kid so thats how I ended up here. Been hunting for one for about six months, looked at probably all candidates in my budget within 300 miles of ATL.

Ended up with a cosmetically restored RS, it is in very good shape cosmetically. She has a 1970 SB 350 hooked to a powerglide with a mild cam. It still has the original soft top (in good shape) original interior (good too). Its by no means a show car, the gaps vary like they would on any 40+ yo ride. But its pretty clean and solid underneath.

On my other Jeeps and projects have undertaken brake swaps (drum to disk), engine and powertrain swaps and of course suspension and driveline updates.

This looks like the place for ideas and experience with the mods I plan. I suppose seatbelts/seats and disk brakes are high on my list of upgrades. With some audio (its an AM radio thats dead ) and small detail work spread in there.

I have attached some pictures, it may look a little better in the pictures than she really is. But it is pretty nice to look at.

Looking forward to sharing what I know, and learning here. Maybe even meeting for 1st Gen guys near Atlanta.

      Thanks,

      Dave

Cool ride - welcome to the family. It is good to see another Atl guy on the board. If you ever need any work done, make sure to look up David Sloan at Road Killer Kustoms. He is the best around and is probably only a 30 minute ride from you.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?
