      Tank and fuel system options

I have a 17 gallon narrowed fuel tank for a carbed engine that came with the camaro. Now that I have the LS1 is there an option to customize it or would I be better off selling it off and buying a FI specific tank?

Also, the engine is modified and rated at about 430-450 wrhp, since I've never dealt with a fuel system where should I look for a good set up?

I'd just buy a sump kit from Rock Valley or Tanks Inc. and modify it. Pretty easy to do.

A stock fuel system should work fine for your power level.

I just bought a new tank for my '75 T/A this morning and also the fuel pump kit from Tanks and also a VDO fuel level kit from Jegs. It may be 2 weeks before everything is in my hands, but should be learning experience. BTW, I'll be installing an LS1 into it, hence the fuel tank mods.

factory style w/ sump & GM pump

I have heard about a factory style 67/68 camaro tank that is modified with a sump and GM pump for around $500.oo. Does anyone know about this tank or the company or vendor makes or sells it. Lastly, does anyone have praises or frustrations about this tank?

Friggin sweet. I'd love to have a Rick's tank just for the look, but at that price, you can't beat it.

I just installed the spectra tank. went in like GM designed it! Spectra actually builds oem tanks for various cars. I called them in Canada before i committed to buying it. I haven't fired the motor yet, but so far I'm happy with the tank.
