How big to go?
I'm looking at building a low maintenance BBC motor, so a hydraulic roller cam is in with around 6500 RPM max. With those limitations, I'd say more exotic stuff like Big Chief heads are out. My main question is, how far to go in terms of cubic inches? At what point do you get diminishing returns on a low(ish) RPM convential head big-block engine? Would a 600+ CI street BBC with heads like AFR 357s be worthwhile?
