      reinforcment for a shell?

i'm taking apart my t-top g-body down to the shell to get it media blasted. i'm removing the windshield and doors, and I was thinking i'd need to tackweld in some braces along the top of the door openings to keep it braced. is it necessary? or will I be alright?

You should be fine. If it was a convert, or you were doing some MAJOR sheet metal replacement, the I'd say yes. But if the whole body is intact, no bracing should be needed.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
