How do you get cruise control with cable throttle?

Finally getting the funds to finish up the ls2 and begin reassembling the 69 camaro. I would like to use the cable throttle route but only if I can eventually add cruise control. Any thoughts?

The engine management is designed to work with a throttle by wire TB. Also, all Gen 4 motors are throttle by wire. Why go through the trouble of changing it back? The cost of the correct pedal is most likely similar to an after market cruise control unit. Dakota Digital makes one and it's designed to be cable operated.

I'm with you - I have the whole cruise assem. out of a 99 Z, but I'd rather run DBW, it would all be so much cleaner. I haven't looked yet if I can convert the LS1 I have to DBW, I haven't gotten that far in the research yet.

if you mean like the way they did it in the carb days, the cruise was run off engine vacuum which pulled the throttle cable

No but this will be a semi daily driver. May take it as far as tennessee from Ohio. This thing is meant to be driven.

Bonzo all you need is the right harness and ecu and a DBW throttle body.
