      Buttonwillow 12 July 13CCW

      Hello All,

Anyone interested in joining me and T/Aaron at Buttonwillow on Saturday 12 July with Redline Track Events. The configuration is 13CCW, and the cost is $175 for four 25 minute sessions. It should be a great time. Has anyone here run with Redline before?

      Regards

      Mary,

Which car will you run in San Diego? The SS or the '73? Have a great time, and beat them all by 2 seconds! Had any time for the Trans Am car lately?

      Hi Don,

Probably the '02 SS for San Diego and El Toro. Need to start concentrating on learning to drive that one. The '73 is just so much more fun ...

      Cheers,

      Hello All,

This is an event to at, as there are only about 30 cars total for three different run groups. It's configuration 13 CCW (from what I hear is the most challenging). Redline Track Events is putting this one on, and it's only $175 for Saturday. There's supposed to be a cooling trend for the Weekend too.

Anything coming up for later in July? I need to run the Lola and break in a new ring and pinion.
67 Camaro RS that will be faster than anything Mary owns.

Mary, could you let me know the next time there's an El Toro autocross. I want to get the car out to try the new springs and I never know when these things are going down.

Just got back from Buttonwillow late last night. 13CCW kicks A$$. You go into Riverside, The Bus Stop, and Club Corner scary fast compared to CW. Entering the Esses and trying too slow down for the Sweeper in the revese direction is very exciting too. This configuration is very hard on the brakes as well. I recommend it. We got 6-25 minute sessions. On a relatively upcrowded track (later sessions had less than 10 cars). It was hot, but not unbearable. Redline supplied all the ice water you could drink. It was a great time.

      Finally some video

I got my GoPro Camera working and I have some video footage from Buttonwillow. Unfortunately, because I have Windows Vista the best part is missing...The Sound of a 240hp 350 V8 with a Q-jet breathing heavy through a cowl hood. My disclaimers for not being fast: I'm still learning the track and learning to drive better. I also have street tires, stock suspension with the G-Mod and rubber bushings throughout. Now with all that blubbering out of the way. You can watch this:

Yes, I know I stink it up bad over Lost Hill. I need too work on that. The bad part of having video is being able too watch your mistakes over and over, but the bonus is you can formulate a solution and make the next time better. If I could just go back next Weekend...

I also have some footage of Infineon as well I need to upload. Stay tuned.

      Regards
