      Thanks from Detroit Speed

Hi everyone! I just wanted to drop a note and a quick thanks for inviting us to the Pro-Touring.com dinner on Saturday night. It is events like your dinner that remind us what makes our jobs so rewarding. While we all love our cars, working on them and constantly finding new ways to improve them, it's really all about the people. It was fascinating listening to the members telling us about their ongoing projects and concepts, too.

A lot of folks at the dinner asked about the track time with the blue Test Car over the weekend, and our final tally was 375 miles of on-track and autocross time. We had a blast and it was fun taking you guys for rides!

We're proud of all of you who drove your cars like they were meant to be driven, as well. Thanks again for your hospitality, and we'll see you at an event soon!

hehe...I'm glad one of us had a working odometer. Too bad that damn Porsche kept getting in the way! Me and you chasing each other around the track is why I work the rest of the year. See you in Nashville!

That car was a blue blur all weekend. For anyone who is about to pull their wallets out for suspension parts, those test miles are far more valuable than a few arrogant "expert" posts on a message board.

The in-car videos of how effortless that car is to drive around those courses is what impresses me.

I've been to all of the Year One events in the last few years, but this was the first time I've attended without a car. THAT won't happen again, silly me. You guys with the cars had far more fun than us spectators toting cameras around! Good seeing everyone, it was a great show on and off the track.

It was a blast! the car performs perfectly.

I hope we were able to represent Pro-Touring well an maybe be able to do it again next year.

Thanks to Year One and everyone there we had so much fun.

Damn I want to work for you guys so badly. After talking with Stacy and Ryan, I think I'll put the oil industry on the back burner. Going to buy solid works and teach myself that now. one day I'll have a car I can bring and beat on to this event and RTTH

Fun times for sure. I just love seeing cars going around the autocross, regardless of who's parts are bolted to the frontend. Even the General's stuff did decent this weekend. Like everyone else has said,to me it is more about the friendships made anyway, but for sure, seeing your friend's car burning up the track is so much fun. I can not wait for RTTH 4. Don't forget the Goodguys events also, autocrossing at many of those too.

I generally lurk here, but I had to say, thanks to both Stacy and Bret for being nice enough to let me sit shotgun. I've always been a drag racer by heart, but those two have changed my ways!

I am definitely happy that I have air ride parts in the rear and DSE sub up front. It makes me feel that I have made a good decisions and really looking forward to that day when I can feel the results!

While my car waits for my occasional trip home, I spent most of 2007 in Iraq, and am about to head back for my 5th tour there. Trust me buddy, your life doesn't suck! Adult disclamer: I know i'm in the military by my choice, so don't shed any tears for me. I just wanted to help you keep a proper perspective buddy; your job definitely doesn't suck!

And yes, DSE rocks. When I retire, I want to be a DSE 'greeter', aka WalMart. How about it Kyle? I've been testing a new design for the greeter's uniform:
