      Rick's 1st Gen

Rick's 1st Gen of Athens, Ga has been bought out by ecklers. My dad rode by there yesterday and they had already changed the signs. Have heard a few rumored prices of what he sold it for but thats all I know. Anyone heard anything about it???

I saw they changeD their website a while ago similar to other Eckler's sites, but I thought they were going to keep the name since it was so recognizable. I've visited Rick's a bunch of times while visiting my in-laws when they lived in Hull right down the street. I hope everyone was able to keep their job as they had some real knowledgable people that worked there. 100 times better than Year One on all fronts, but especially product knowledge. Have a hot dog at the Varsity for me.

There has been a lot of discussion about this over at team camaro. A lot of the feedback has not been flattering, as you will see if you read this thread:

I have the latest copy of Rick's catalog, it still says Rick's 1st Gen at the top, and in smaller print it says something like "An Eckler's Company"

I know that the Ecklers in Titusville barely has any Camaro parts in stock, I was a big Ricks fan, bought lots of parts from them,

Ecklers has had money problems before, I hope they don't run the Ricks part into the ground, they at one time, had a big production in T'ville,

This happened a while ago, about a year ago. I remember the brew-ha-ha at Team Camaro over it. LOL

I haven't heard much about anyone here using Classic Industries (OER). I've bought just about all my parts from them, and Matt's Classic Bowties. I guess I just heard about them first. I've had good service out of both places, just wondering if anyone else has used either of them?...
