Tony, is this something you are looking to do an article on or for your shop?

I may have something you can use. I can't use it in our shop cause I get inspected every 6 months. Im starting to like the aqueous stuff now. No more dizzy spells.

Kids are fine, but yes we did have M.E.K. in a large parts washer when I was working at a small FBO right out of college. Back then I had no idea how toxic it was. We are not allowed to use it at the airlines, although last time I checked you can still buy it at the local home improvement stores. It is an excellent solvent.

BTW... ATF will remove grease from your hair if need be...... Then rinse lather and repeat to get the ATF out.

I'm asking for an article on cleaning engine blocks before assembly. I probably shouldn't be telling people to use products that make them sterile. ...just a thought.

ATF will clean the heck out of a block and prevent rust.
