? about Poly A arm bushings

I recieved Energy Suspension black poly upper A-arm bushings from Jegs (supposed to be graphite impregnated). I assembled them then someone told me I was supposed to take the bushings apart and silicone the inner sleeve to the poly. Is this going to haunt me later if I don't take this all apart and do this? I thought the graphite provided the lube?? Thanks.

Yes, they provide lube for the inner sleeve. This lube is used to keep the metal-on-metal contact quiet between the sleeve and the attaching hardware. I forgot to do this to my upper control arm bushings before I installed the cross shaft in my El Camino - and I had no problems with noise. You should be cool.

If you can, pull them apart and lube them up.
If the arms are already assembled then your SOL on the uppers but you can still pull the lowers apart.

      You might not get lucky.

A couple sockets, 2 blocks of wood, and a hammer makes the job easy.
