Quarter help needed
Ok the big debate build a body jig or not build a body jig. What is the correct way to hang quarters all squared up on a jig or with the car on the ground with every thing hanging off of it. I have to do the trunk and floor pan as well so I am just trying to make sure that thing stays strait. But I had planed on doing the quarters first or am I thinking about it wrong and should I do the floors first?

I have always been told , when replacing panels, to have the car sitting on all 4 tires. Or at least have jack stands on all four corners of the car, ideally as close to the where the wheels would be as possible. I think its best to place the rear jack stands next the leaf springs on the rear axle. The leaf springs mount to the body furter out and just placing them on the rear frame somwhere may not give you the accurate load on the body. I think the front can be just about anywhere on the front frame, just keep them as close as possible to the A-arms.
But I would think the floors should be done first. just my .02 cents2005 CBR 1000RR..."mostly stock".
