hook that wire to battery direct and see if it still happens. If it doesnt then make sure your igntion switch is working properly. If the motor is fairly unmodified and running the gm efi in it I would be hard pressed to say that its a tuning issue. Sounds to me like that shop gave up attempting to figure out the problem. which wire exactly is going dead? if you can give me the pin location on the computer like pin 10 for example Ill look over the schematic for it and see what its spposed to be doing. Lemme know and Ill try to help you out.
