      Tightening spindle nut

I can't remember what the procedure is for tightening the spindle nut on a front spindle to properly squish the bearings. If that makes sense lol. It was something like, tighten finger tight, then 2 turns and back 1/2 turn or something.

      Any help would be great

Snug down, spin hub/rotor, then back off 1/8 turn or just so you can just about move the washer back and forth with a screw driver.

If this is the stock spindle most procedures will tell you to torque it down to 12 lb/ft while spinning the rotor then back the nut off to the first hole in the castle nut for the cotter pin.

Torque to about 15 lb/ft to seat, then back it off. Now install finger tight. If you can't get the cotter pin to slide through - then back the nut off until you can. Don't go tighter.

      Matt,

Be careful when using some of those circle track parts. They were never designed for heavy cars or the things that a street car might encounter, like big pot holes.

Its the same setup that Dennis ran. I've already run the setup for a year but couldn't remember the castle nut torque spec. Its holding up just fine

The drop tech spindles are more sketchy than these and they are a cast piece!
