      Painless LS1 conv harness good?

Anyone using the Painless LS1 conversion harness or are you cutting and fixing the stock one?

The wiring on this swap is killing me. Im trying to have the least amount of wires as possible and I know you can somehow do a 5 wire hookup. Thanks

I agree. For the same price as a still-needs-to-be-customized Painless you can get exactly what you need from Speartech.

I just reworked a GTO harness. It took two days to get it the way I wanted it, and that does not include the needed relays. Those I'll do once it's in so the lenghts are correct.

You have to rework the stock harness to make it a 5-wire hookup.

      PCM Bat
      PCM ignition
      Coil ignition
      Injector ignition
      Sensor ignition
      Low fan on
      High fan on
      Fuel on
      Serial buss out
      + to OBD2 port
      - to OBD2 port.
      - to PCM (multiple locations)
      - to sensors
      - to injectors
      - to coils

Many of these can be combined through a relay/fuse block. The tying together of these is what makes a custom harness a 5-wire hookup.

Is there a link where I can learn to rework it myself?
