Will BBC mounts work for LS1 Swap?

Can I use my factory BBC subframe mounts or do I need to get some SBC mounts for my LS1 swap into a 68 camaro.

      Thanks

I am betting no. The big block stands move the engine to the passenger side. No need on a LS1

I first mounted my ls1 with the bb mounts and it works. Tons of header clearance to the steering box but both the sw and hooker headers hit the passenger side control arm. I liked the way the motor sat approx 1/2" offset but did not want to make custom headers. I went with the hookers but I do think it is an idea worth investigating as the ls motor is approx 2" wider than the old school sb. Just my .02.

New SBC frame mounts can be had for like $40. They are a pain to put on but i used them because i KNEW my plates and headers would clear with my swap. It took about an hour and a half to swap frame mounts and two deep 1/2" sockets are still in my k-memeber/control arms. Also i would leave them semi loose until the engine goes in as i didnt install mine exactly perfect and had to fight to get the holes to line up.
