      Dallas Auto Show...ZR1

While I was rather upset that the new Camaro was not there (or as the Chevy guy told me.."Bumble Bee was scheduled to appear, but he had to go out and save the world.") There was a pretty cool break away of the ZR1...thought I'd share.

The new Camaro was at the Denver Auto Show a couple of weeks ago. I got a "behind the scenes" look at it up close. It's definitely beginning to show it's age. Some of the panels have been repainted (poorly), and most of the plastic filler work (and there is ALOT of it) is starting to crack. It's still sporting the fake 20's with fake 15" rotors. With all of the mules and pre-production models running around, I don't know why GM hasn't prepared a proper show car yet. The Challenger looked 10x better, imo - if only because it's real.

The new ZR-1 was there also. I have a small, low-quality video (taken with my cell phone) of them trying to drive it up onto it's pedestal the day before the show opened. The ramps weren't long enough and the front carbon splitter suffered some nasty damage as they drove it up. That thing sure sounded mean though!

Damn, that's a cool display! We got to see the ZR1 AND Bumblebee though in NY.

Sorry for the picture quality, it was taken with my ancient 2.0 meg digital camera.
