      Wheel and tire fitment.

I have my eyes set on the KMC Hot Wheels 17x9, but want to make sure they will fit on my 72 Nova. I see that they have a back-spacing of 5", so they should fit right?

And also, I plan on wrapping them in 275x40x17s, those should fit as well?

I did try a search, but only saw them on other cars.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for asking "another" wheel/tire question.

Would you have had enough clearance for .25" less BS? They look pretty close in the picture.

Do you know of a company that makes fender flares for the 3rd gen nova? Like the ones you see on Datsuns or 240z's?

      Thanks for the reply!

There was about a 1/2" of room between the tire and the quarter lip. It did rub slightly on the inside hump above the lip going into my drive way but that was it. Im sure 5" would not have worked on mine.
There was a guy that made flares but he is no longer with us. I do see them pop up on ebay time to time.

Nice Nova...looks great with the blacked out rims. Be safe over there.
