LS2 Swap 67 camaro Radiator help
Can I run my stock Radiator without fans? Or will I run into overheating issues. Had a 600 RWHP SBC in before and never had overheating issues ever

And also anyone have a part number or a link to a good aluminum radiator and electric fan? Maybe the afco? Couldn't find it on the site. I'll keep searching

I have a Ron Davis in mine and was told that I can have the AC going in bumper to bumper traffic on a 110 degree day.

I used an LT1 radiator and electric fans. They can be had pretty cheaply. I got mine from a $100 parts Z28 i have. The factory LS1 hoses lined up perfect. Had to trim about a 1/2" off of the lower radiator hose to make it fit exactly. I just botled the top flange of the radiator to the radiator support and used a 90* piece of aluminum to do the same for the bottom.
You guys arent runing ANY kind of fan with your engine? I sure would like the piece of mind. I guess I'm used to the newer vette and fbody style setup with the air dams being the only means of air passing through.1994 Z28 - 13.52@110mph 2.1 60ft T56, bolt-ons, suspension

I have heard of a few guys using the ls1 radiators and fans. Havent hear of anyone using one from a vette although i'm sure it could be done. There is alot of room on the front of these cars.

Shawn- Did that fit in the stock radiator support or did u take the support out of the z28?

It fit with the stock 68 camaro radiator support.

I'm going to run my original radiator with my LS1. I'll put electric fans on it and I don't foresee any problems. All radiators do the same thing, the concept is the same for any engine.
