LOL It's more like what you would tell your "date" you were going to do that night in hopes she would help you find a place to park your submarine later.

That's pretty cool what they are doing with that old drive-in. Too bad there isn't more of those around today. Here in SoCal, they used to be everywhere. Now, most have been torn down, and the remaining few are just full time swap meets. Too bad! Used to be a great time seeing how many people you could sneak in hiding in the trunk.

That's what I thought you meant.

A race to see who can scarf down a submarine sandwich the fastest. There's usually an ambulance nearby to assist anyone who might start choking on the cold cuts.

Having grown up living behind a Drive-In, I do miss them. As a kid I could climb out my window onto the roof and watch a movie. Later rode my bike over to sneak in, learned a lot by peeking in steamed up car windows as well, as a kid I wanted to kow why the car was bouncing and squeaking so much.
Got kicked out of the Skyland so many times I was on a first name basis with the manager.
When I got my license and a car he told me he could finally make some money off me.

Ahh, the memories from that place. Nice to see another one come back.

I really don't see why they can't come back. It's still a great idea. And with the improvements in technology today it would be even better. No more speaker on the window, you could just tune your car radio to a certain channel. And with High Def the picture would be a lot better.

....not that any of the young couples will be watching. LOL!!!

We have one in Muskegon MI. I love it. It's so much more fun than a regular movie. I bring the kids there as much as possible so they can remember it when they are older.

I have been to the Tiger Drive a couple of times. We went to the 1st hot rod night Year One had. We all (18+) met at Year One and drove up together. That was alot of fun. The most fun you can have in a car with your clothes on. If I can get one of my projects back together I will go back. Maybe we could all meet somewhere and ride up in a pack.
