Project Flyin Blind update
Well I was lucky enough to spend a short 2-3 hours with Frank and Michael today down in "not-so-sunny-today" Florida, (ok, yesterday when I flew in was nice), but Flyin' Blind is offloaded from the trailer and actually indoors, which means it will be very soon that she is blown apart and the real work begins. Obviously I am anxious, but our deadline is tight without any added stress from me, so anticipate as many updates as Frank, Lisa or I can post as work gets underway very soon. I saw the rear, the DS&E subframe, and got to talk to the guys who will be making a few custom interior pieces, which I will wait to talk about because we are still working that out. I have a distinct feeling this will really exceed my expectations. Frank and Michael have a good grasp of what I am looking for and my expectations and seeing firsthand what they have done (that 66 Vette and the Blue Firebird are, in one word... awesome!) So I finally feel comfortable leaving my poor '67 in their hands.
By the way, I found a real distant "relative" down here in FL who has '62 Vette taht has been sitting in a field and needs a complete restoration (or pro-touring build) done to her, the guy is asking $22k... too rich for my blood, even though that is one of my dreams for a future project p/t build, but I can't right now... if anyone is serious and can meet that price range (he turned down $20k cash) let me know. I have not even seen the car, but I can try and get some if there is interest, or I can put you in touch with him.
Anyway, more on Project Flyin' Blind REALLY soon, I know, this post is worthless without pics, but there just isn't anything done yet to show... be patient, soon, very soon.
