      Will it make a difference?

      Hi,
I am building a high performance street 350 that will see on and off duty as a daily driver and just had a few questions from the experts here.

Looking at parts I was wondering if there was a real difference (in my application) in things like timing chains? For example, Cloyes has Heavy Duty, Street TRUE Roller and Billet True Roller Sets. I'm willing to spend good money if it will make a difference in terms of performance, reliability or longevity.

Another example, ATI sells the Super Street Damper. Its significantly more expensive than an OE style balancer. Would the ATI damper help my motor in any way?

I want to build a strong motor and dont want to skimp on parts, but dont want to waste my money either.

      Thanks for you input.

      1) don't skimp on headers
      2) don't buy cheap hardware (use ARP or similar)
      3) get good flowing heads
      4) get a good oil pump
      5) don't get a HUGE cam
      6) use good main and rod bearings
      7) make sure you get a jam-up shop to do critical machine work
      8) use good oil
