      Street Imports Seats

Does anyone have any opinions on these seats? I like the style and size for my Corvette. They seem pretty "cost effective". They do offer a warranty on the frames........

My only issue is they will most likely fail in any sort of serious accident.

NO!!!! My friend got a set like that and he could see the foam through the fabric. Also the sliders were all hosed. Check out www.hunsakersports.com They are great seats and are really comfortable.

Thanks fellas. Those Hunsakers look like a real good choice if they are decent quality. Wonder if I could get them to do me up a set in blue.
Speaking of blue I love the Mustang!

They have a sale going on right now and the quality is very nice. The Carbon kevlar is crazy light.

yeah, I'd avoid cheap foreign seats too....but they asked for it. Can't beat the price. A nicer alternative to the ones we usually use.

This one is very nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-F...QQcmdZViewItem

These guys are local to me and I have checked them out and they are well built.

Maybe someone should call them to have a pair sent over for an honest review?

Those F1Spec seats look awesome, but I'm wondering if they fold forward for access to the back seat? The pictures show them folding backward, but that means nothing to me because I rarely fold seats backwards. I still want to be able to get into the back seat.

Have you sat in them? They look real nice and I have been looking for a seat that is 18 inches wide forever that wasn't big $$$$, with the sale price those are so tempting.
So how comfortable are they and how good are the latches ?

      Thanks ,Jim

I was looking for a comfy/sporty/not ugly seat to put in my old poncho, and I ended up buying some used 02 and up Hyundai Tiburon seats. They have side bolsters and are grey leather, grey cloth inserts, with red fleck and red stitching. I know I've also seen them in blue, but if they came in any other colors I don't know. Something to look into...

      Hey Darko,

You know I never tried to flip em foreward. Maybe i'll go out there and try again.

      Where are you located?

      Hey Jim,

I sat in the R1 and the style 1. They are both nice and fit is very comfy. The latch on the R1 is equal to the Recaro's. I didn't really beat on them.

If it's a track car you might want to think about something with an FIA cert.
