Under Dash Gauge Hanger
I always hate that look of aftermarket gauges hanging from the bottom of the dash! Looks so bad (in my opinion), but I love to hide things while getting full function. What I need your help with, is to find a couple of gauges that I can hide in my ash tray. I only have about 4 1/2in wide x 1in deep and 3in high. I was wondering if anyone sold a digital read-out that I could make fit or ....really I don't know?? Just trying to hide my gauges during car shows. I already have my stereo hanging so I don't have to cut my dash plastic. Because that is hanging I have a nice radio delete panel that makes it look as though the car should have never had the radio. Thats the Idea bout the gauges. I need them to give me oil pressure, air/fuel, and trans temp. Car never came with a tach(unless you got the inaccurate rallypack gauges), so I modified my clock delete panel to take a 2in tach from autometer. Check it out below. I have this kinda hidden tech on this car. Between a hidden FI on the motor, I want it to at first glance look original, but for a hard look to notice the many modifications. If anyone has any idea please chime in!!!! I don't mean to offend anyone with my earlier comment, sorry.

You might find something with Classic Instruments. http://www.classicinstruments.com Although, they are pretty expensive, but they are top notch quality. My bodyman put classic instrument gauges in his 1960 Chevy Impala and it looks factory. The ash tray was used to hide the vintage air controls.
