A custom built Holley 850 made from select parts and calabrated to your combo would serve you best.

I build them that way, live tested and advise thru final tuning.

You will never get that kind of service from an off the shelf model.

The car will have a tko600 and mainly street driven, would mechanical secondaries be the way to go?

I would give Sean Murphy a call at SMI Induction. With your set up I bet he would recommend his stage 3 850 cfm mech secondaries. It wet flows at 920 cfm. The cam that you have is very close to the one that I'm going with for my 468, with a TKO600 and that's the one that he recommended. Here's a link to his web site. Sean builds a great carb and is a master on the Q-jet. http://www.smicarburetor.com/product...5&productID=43

I just looked at the carb that came with the motor, the list number is 4781-3 and 2330 under the list number. I have been looking for another carb b/c the previous owner of the motor said it smoked a little bit at start up with this carb., and the smoking cleared up with other carbs. Would it be better to just send it off to get rebuilt for my car?

Sure and I provide that service.

Typically the 850 have a overly rich idle circuit and display poor A/F @ part throttle cruise.

There's many mods I do that can improve it's performance
