      Paging Todd Varble- So. Cal.

I don't know if Todd's a member here, but when I was at the March Meets at Famoso Dragway this weekend, all I could think was pro-touring ride.
The car is a 62 Bel Air 2 door. LS7, 6 spd, 4w C6 Z06 brakes, integrated rear air diffuser/rear bumper, C6 tail/third brake lights, big honkin' (but totally fitting the car) wheels, 'glass hood on a BMW-style front tilt, some trickery on the suspension, etc, etc.
I checked this car out three times, and every viewing brought out new tricks.
Damn impressive car, but I can't find my camera, so no pix.
      I'm hoping he's a member here...

Nope, it was in the "Car show" section.
The Winged Express made some passes, and an Fuel Altered from the 60's- literally- used both lanes and tried to make a pass. He got about half track and had to lift- squirrelly(sp?), but SO COOL!!

Yeah I was there. We were running my buddy's '62 Biscayne. It's the original J & M car out of Riverside, Ca. It was on the street in '66 and '67 and has only 8900 miles on it. I had the aluminum front end on it until '98. We had been running a 409, but it lost oil pressure. We just put the 540 big block in on Tuesday, it ran 10.90 on it's first pass Friday. On the second pass the ignition box took a crap. We changed it out but the raw gas that had been igniting in the headers took out some valve seats. My car is here under L S 7 '62 Belair Bubbletop. w/project updates
