Milodon Windage Tray Interferes With Dipstick

I am trial fitting my Milodon Diamond Stripper windage tray on my small block chevy. As you can see in the picture below the lower dipstick tube runs right into it (threaded rod for demonstration purposes only). Even without the tray in place, the dipstick runs into the main cap. Block has drivers side dipstick.

According to Milodon..."When adjusted properly the dipstick will pass underneath the tray".

Am I missing something??
