      F-body 2-gen

      Hi!

Is there any rear disk kit for 2-gen f-body with emergency brakes.....Here in Norway we MUST have this system working. Every 2nd years our cars must be sertified to keep our licence plates. Have read about the Blaser convention but not so many at the wreckers yard here, NONE....

      Thanks
      Olav

May be equally hard to find in the salvage yards in your area. But 79- 81 Trans Ams with ws6 suspension package had factory rear discs with integral parking brakes.

CPP has a kit that i used on the back of a 65 elky. the calipers are a bear to set up right, but they included cables and everything. worked great once i had all the kinks worked out. based on a cadillac eldorado setup.

As of right now...Kore3 is the only C5 rear brake kit for our 2gens that has a backing plate ass'y to use the ebrake....at least that I'm aware of. Ed? We need ya man ;)

I am currently ebrake-less. But here in Va you need a working ebrake to pass annual inspections.
      1970 RS/SS350 139K on the clock:
89 TPI motor w/ 1pc rear seal coupled to a Viper T56 via Mcleod's modular bellhousing w/ hydraulic T/O bearing from the Viper, 12 bolt rear w/ 3.73 gearing, SC&C upper control arms, factory lowers with Delalums, C5 brakes at all four corners, Front Wheels 17x8's with Sumi 255/40/17 and Rear Wheels 17x9's with Sumi 275/40/17.

I'm in the process. I cleaned and reorganized my shop all week so now I can actually find stuff. I have a lot of orders on my table that need to get out ASAP but I'll try to get this C5 rear swap finished as soon as I can.

Just to clarify, you must mean the 1993-1997 LT1 4th gen, not the 1998-2002 LS1 4th gen F-bodies. The Baer sport kits use the single-piston, first generation PBR rear caliper with integral parking brakes, similar to the C4 Corvette rear calipers. Very simple, functional design albeit somewhat limited with respect to rotor thickness IMO.
