      The 'Bird is Back!

I finally got the 'Bird all back together!

There's still some details I need to get to but for the most part it's driveable! I replaced the front drums with front disc brakes from a '65 'Bird so now she stops WAAAAAYY better! I went through the suspension and replaced all the bushings with some stiffer bushings along with some HD shocks. Nothing super race, mind you, but she definitely handles better on the road!

I've been getting some very nice compliments from people when I drive it and even when I have it parked in the driveway!

I love the 'Birds! Black on those cars always looks great with all the chrome trim they have.

      Looks sharp!

I was planning on it being my daily but now I'm having reservations since I know that first door hit in the parking lot is going to be a painful one!
I was changing the oil pressure sending unit today and I had at least 5 people stop their cars and ask me about the car!

Maybe I'll drive the Mustang but, damn, that suspension is for the track and it is STIFF!

Pretty Dang Good! I'm still surprised at how well it turned out but, WOW, it sure took ALOT of hours of sanding! I probably wouldn't do that again! It would be much faster and WAY less work to just basecoat/clearcoat it! The time it takes to do all that sanding, I could have used to set up a booth in my garage and spray it! Not to mention that after all that work I almost ruined it by burning through an area when I tried to buff it!
