how many RPMs will my engine take?
it's a chevy 383 with a nodular iron crank, forged 5140 rods (floating pin), hypereutectic pistons 9.7:1(KB), plasma moly rings, vortec heads, comp cams xe274h-10 hyd flat tappet, magnum roller tip rockers, performer intake, and a q-jet. what can i do peak, and sustainable?
also, can anyone give me a realistic torque/power estimate?
work in progress--for the next 10 years.
1987 monte carlo ss 383ci, 9.7:1, xe274 cam, vortec heads, 200r4, 3.73 posi.
