      69 LT1 problem

so i got my 95 trans am LT1 into my 69 camaro.... my problem is that my stock gas pedal, which ull see in the pictur collides with some kind of oil sensor when the pedal is not being pushed to the floor...

the engine is leaning a little back so the clearnace in not as bad as it seems in the pic, but it still hits...

does anyone of you guys that have done a similar swap know what to do... is there an aftermarket piece i can get to rectify this problem? thanks

Get a pedal out of a 6 cylinder 67-69 camaro/68-74 nova (cable style). Use it with the lokar lt1 cable and it works great. Also, I think Lokar makes a conversion pedal that may work.

You should be able to put a different fitting on the back there and relocate that sensor. It may not even be needed if you're not using stock gauges. I know the LSx engines do not know what the oil PSI is and don't care. I believe the LTx were the same way. That means you can just remove it and not have any issues.

Or you could relocate it to the pad just above the filter pad. Don't know if the LTx cares either, but my TPI L98 sure does and sets off the SES light when it was disconected.
