      toyo proxes 888

im looking to run the proxes 888's in the rear of my nova. just had it mini tubbed, im having a hard time finding tread designs that match with that large of a tire in the rear with the front ones. i run 17x7's and 17x11's. what other tires by toyo compliment the proxes 888's. anyone running these? i've been leary of mixing tread designs before, but i guess its a common thing. does it matter?

None.. the tread pattern on the 888 is specific to that tire. It's also an R-compound so a "less sticky" tire up front will accentuate any understeer you already have.

What size do you need in the front?

up front i need 205/50/r17's. what do you reccomend?

although i do like the width of the sidewall of your front tires on your '68. i'd like to keep the profile about that low, im flexible.

      That's called a "spare" here.

I hear schwinn makes a nice replacement.

Just messing with you. Any reason why you are running a 205?

no reason, i just happened to see them on another nova and thought they looked really good. i assumed that was the largest i could fit up there.
