My project...Warning! Not a Camaro.

Well...I am starting my last project for a while. This car is for me and me only so I am not concerned about the money spent this time. Its an 82 Mustang GT that I bought when I was 17. My first "real" car and it did me good for several years. I parked it in 1996 and its been sitting since. I've done so many other projects and it is now time to do my baby. She deserves to be on the road rather than sitting beside my house!

Im using the engine, trans, wiring harness front to rear, HVAC and dash, seats, console, steering column, etc. Pretty much the only things not being used are the front and rear suspension or brakes. I have Cobra brakes and IRS but I think I will ditch the IRS for a full Griggs set-up as well as their front suspension with coil overs. Im excited to have my Mustang back among the living! (Its sort of pro-touring.) Just wanted to share in case there are any four eyed guys lurking on here.

I have already mounted the dash and most of the mods to fit it. I still need to trim the defrost panel. Then tackle the steering column. Then the door panels. Once the interior is finished it will be mostly remove and replace! Its amazing how similar the fox bodies are from 79-04!
