second gen f body proportioning valve

I figured I would run the stock ws6 prop valve for my 78 t/a, but its a big ugly cast iron thing. anyone make an aluminum one? can I get away with just the adjustable/ knob type regulator on the rear line??

second ? , do you need the brake line to spiral before the M/C? can it just be straight. I thought it was to make sure all the air made it up to the top, but don't see why the spiral is better than a direct run.

The tubing is coiled to allow for movement of the subframe in relation to the firewall preventing the tubing from cracking from flexing.
