79 Zed I had a look at some of the post at the nasty Z28 forums, and I gather that the tunnel may need to raised to allow room for the bigger tranny. I say this because the tail shaft will not be high enough to maintain proper drive line angle. The forums also indicates that the shifter position is also moved back 2", which means that the shifter opening must be trimmed ( by how much not sure). This would also alter the console position and I really don't want to change the car that way.
Don't get me wrong I do appreciate the input, and would really like to see the steps you take to install that tranny. I still have not made up my mind yet on which way I'm gonna go. The price of these transmissions are huge here in Alberta, and I don't want to be disappointed.
