      Sound deadner

I notice that some people are using something like a hot water heater blanket as a sound deadner versus dynomat like products.
Is this effective? How does it hold up to moisture?

I bought from them directly out of their warehouse in phoenix and the product looks, and is supposed to be more effective, than the other guys. The owner is cool too. I would recommend it.
